Exactly.

We shake our heads over the perceived insanity of other religions, but the truth is once you are able to supplant the thought process with blind "faith", they are all alike.

All willing to kill the "non-believers" in the name of the "True" God.

We are better at it cause we have better weapons.

Better to not support either Dems or Reps.
Democrats are socialists.
Republicans are Lite socialists although you wouldn't know it with the deficits.

I no longer own any US real estate as the entitlement mantra started by FDR will overwhelm this society.

You got the right idea Slider about leaving, but IMO New Zealand is a socialist state also.

Give people the vote and they will bankrupt the society unless there are checks. IMO we started a downhill acceleration when they did away with the poll tax and literacy tests.

Better to be a resident of no country if possible. Be nimble and flexible not only with your finances[rapid liquidity] but also your domicile.
Keep those crooked governmnts everywhere guessing!

OK, Slider, you've had one epiphany, get ready for another. Let me preface this link by stating up front I believe that several of these guys tenants are not 'spot on' as they say. However, their basic interpretaion of the USA and how it figures into end times .... they are on track with my thinking. The Antipas Papers is a must read for another viewpoint if nothing else. As for TV preachers....best thing there is just use the off button. They are do tied into mainstream propaganda machine it ain't even funny.

antipasministries.com

These guys have some very well documented articles culled from extensive research. i daresay if you espoused their viewpoint at the church you went to the other day ...well, you'd probably be lucky if they didn't call Homeland Security and have your ass hauled off to Marian, Illinois to take up residence with Manuel Noriega.

One of your posts defames and disparages the Clinton presidency Other than his sexual transgression, he gave this country a well run government, a relatively peaceful 8 years (Kosovo intervention because the Europeans refused to intervene), a budget surplus, and competent administration officials. Sure he's a politician and needed money to campaign, and he's no angel, but compared to what we have now he was the Second Coming.

<<...THE GOAL IS TO WIN AT ALL COSTS. To gain power over a nightmare, we need to name it for what it is. Through their acts of omission and commission, Bush and his people are guilty of gross negligence motivated by the desire to inflame foreign threats, rally the nation, and elect Republicans. Their apparent incompetence is a charade, as is their effort to prevent Iraq from splintering. As widely predicted, Iraq is immersed in civil war, with mounting vengeance and counter-vengeance that is creating more terrorists than it is eliminating. This strategy will intentionally produce a never-ending war that can never be won. But permanent war could help Republicans maintain their hold on power. The fact that other Administrations have been guilty of similar crimes does not negate the fact that this Administration has been a flagrant violator and must be held accountable. When a property owner is warned repeatedly about faulty wiring in his building and does nothing to correct the problem, only to collect a huge insurance payment after the building burns down, he is guilty of gross negligence. Politicians who sacrifice the common good to get re-elected are guilty of the same crime and deserve to be punished...>>

Slider, I too experience the same ignorance/denial with religious type co-workers and parents. (I too supported Bush since the alternative was more pathetic). I greatly respect you for stating "I was wrong". Even if I didn't agree with you I'd respect you more just because the switch had to involve some sort of personal analysis of the subject matter. It's so easy and lazy for people today to pick the viewpoint their religious/political party has chosen then defend it despite the outcome.

As for myself, I'm a small time worker in the industrial/military/globalist complex. Unfortunately I'm finding it easier day by day to start believing in conspiracist type stuff. It's becoming more and more of an upside down - right is wrong type of world.

Note - I first read you on SI back in the late 90s when I believe you were talking up a company I had shares of (KMG I believe). Kept reading SI boards and got on the precious metals train. Not listening to mainstream has proven to be very profitable for my retirement accounts.

Greatly respect your opinion - keep it up!

Hanging out at the Germantown Historical Society last week;
A volunteer I met was asked to give a history lecture at Germantown High this past Thursday;
A City of Philadelphia run institution...
How impressive is that?
(tongue in cheek)

He was flabbergasted at how many students he polled thought Martin Luther King was a former US President?!?!

I'm glad we're (Ria and I) sticking to our no need for kids (offspring) policy.

Stick a fork in this nation, its done.

Bring on Hillary, the non mother, mutha...

Where do we go from here? Tim

Boy am I out of sync... just stumbled upon this today...

Funny about religion... Any religion (with a God anyway) should incorporate the following sentiment 'God gave you a brain ... USE IT'... otherwise they do themselves and their God a disservice IMHO...

and likely up here in Canada anyway.. I could match every stupid Church goer with stupid atheist... Actually the Church goers are losing ground here rapidly especially compared to the US where yes I do agree that religion influences politics a great deal..

Soundbites ... we have a news radio station up here in Toronto.. 680news.com
Every once in a while they play a bunch of user testimonials which have the general gist of.,.. we are so well informed thanks to you... makes me cringe..
