Iran Pledges Financial Aid to Hamas-Led Palestinians February 23, 2006 By STEVEN ERLANGER nytimes.com JERUSALEM, Feb. 22 — A senior Iranian official pledged on Wednesday to provide financial support to a Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority, which is already in budget trouble and facing more aid cuts.
