LLCF <You know his usage of words is downright abusive, and I DON"T like the guys attitude for sure... BUT the US absolutely underestimated the emotionality and attitudes prevailing in that society... The US also WAY overestimated the rationality of the population... or perhaps we should say misunderstood the conditions existing in the population which seems to somehow preclude a prevalence of rational, forwardlooking thought.> The administration was warned by top ranking old timers in intelligence and the State Department and the military about exactly what would probably happen (civil war). The war cabal chose to ignore them.
