I haven't hunted in over 15 years, but tonight I almost bagged a deer crossing the road in front of me. A doe and yearling crossed right in front of me. Another lurked in the shadows but didn't cross.

I was glad i wasn't going 30 mph faster.

You make it sound fun. It is cool to be that close to nature. Once in Colorado, my wife was shocked when a huge buck came within 20 feet of her, stopped, checked her out and then bounded off. I was gathering wood, and only saw a fleeting view of him. The sound of the woods when you are the only human within miles is awesome.
