Horie's old company is doing okay. Just when I get worked up for another tranche, the price bounces right back up again. US72c [the current price] is cheaper than what I paid, but not cheap enough to tempt me further. I'm thinking in terms of US50c to load up the Tonka Truck again.

I was hoping for a delisting, but now the scaredy-cat Tokyo Stock Exchange says they probably won't do that as it would be problematic. You bet it would. Livedoor would just start their own stock exchange and take over a lot of the business, starting with their own shares.

The olde guard establishment has come up with some charges to keep Horie out of circulation for a while and they obviously think he's too dangerous to release on bail, which shows their real motivations.

American vulture investors have pounced in droves, which has pushed the price back up. You might well be right and I might yet get plenty of buying opportunities.

<Speaking of which, your son who worked for Hori may wish to shift center of gravity further west, where TeoTwawKi winks:>

Having learned some Mandarin in his youth, and had an exploratory investigation a couple of years ago, he hasn't taken it any further. Japan has a LOT of cash still. And it's summer here and life is pretty good and we have some pots on the boil here at the moment. China can wait. It's not going anywhere.
