re: PM reliance on geopolitical events:

Ecrire; I don't think you can ignore the power of geopolitics, especially relative the ability of crude oil to pull the entire commodity sector along with it.

Iran is significant.

...and the legitimacy of the Iran story imho -- significantly exceeds that of Iraq.

Iran's Nukes are the ultimate WMD -- a reality that dwarfs Iraq's chemical, or biological WMD's....thus, the Iran story - potentially trumps anything related to that of Iraq.

Good question here:
ecrire: "We are so bogged down in that Iraq hellhole, do you really think we're in any position to make war against Iran at this time?"

...I think "logic" and "common sense" -- need to be suspended relative to any normal expectations of what we can, or should do....and what the Bush Administration -- will do.

I think it's becoming clear to more and more Americans -- that it's no longer about - "what's good for America, or Americans."

Instead -- it's about what's good for the "New World Order/Globalists"...Bush/Cheney/Halliburton/Big Oil/Saudi Royals/Jim Baker/Carlyle Group et al...

Here's a clue to the arrogance and verification of the complete and total disconnect that the Bush Administration has with the people of America:

Did you hear what George Bush had to say on national television in reference to the Cheney explanation of the accidental shooting incident ?

Quote:unquote:

Bush: "I thought it was a strong and powerful explanation"

WHAT THE #@$%^ was he thinking ?!?!?!

"strong and powerful" !?!?!

Can you imagine if your son was shot by a friend on a hunting trip...and not immediately reported -- then his parents release a statement - saying that they thought their son gave a quote:unquote -- "strong and powerful" explanation relative to the shooting !?!?

Strong and Powerful ?!?! in reference to the explanation of a shooting ? -- what the F#@$ was he, or his press secretary thinking ?

How about -- "heartfelt and complete"...or, "full and immediate"...maybe even -- "clear and understandable".

But -- Strong and Powerful ?

...everything you ever wanted to know about the real George Bush -- came out in that comment.

Clueless...out of touch...arrogant...contrived...and phony as a damn $3 bill.

"Strong and powerful".... simply un-F'n-believable.

Time & datestamp that one for the history books....that was a rare, unguarded snapshot of the real - George W. Bush.
