I'm surprised the rightwing element that posts on these threads don't get it yet. You know some folks have no feeling of belonging. Making people feel like they belong makes them feel important. Hitler used that tactic with the brownshirts. Gangs use that tactic. They take people that have this absence of family, this absence of belonging and give them something to belong to. The Army uses this kind of psyop to get kids to sign up..."be all you can be". Most of the right wing is absent something. To make up for it they can belong. For some it's belonging to the elite. Shooting at Quail with fellow millionaires. It's power. It's money. People are motivated by so many things. When your motivation gets out in front of your humanity...I call it greed.
