I ran into one of my ex-floor hockey buddies this week (ironically, after buying opera tickets).

He is high up in the BC government Energy department and is in charge of bidding for gas drilling leases. He said that despite lower NG prices that there's a lot of drilling going ahead.

So, people are either looking ahead or it's a late cycle thing you see after a price spike. Who knows?
