I think it was a tragic hunting accident that has been a source of great suffering for those directly involved and is being politicized and exploited in a most disgusting manner.

Yes tragic indeed. But then the tragedy is compounded by all the lies, stalling and strange behaviour, don't you agree?

1. If you shot someone in the face would you:

A. Ride to the hospital to make sure they were ok.

B. Go back to the house make yourself a cocktail and have dinner.

2. If you're the vice President and you shot someone in the face you would:

A. Call your press guy on the phone and tell him what happened and have him release a statement for you within a few hours of the accident.

B. Wait till the next day and have Ms. Armstrong give the story to the local newspaper.

3. If you're the Secret Service and the sheriff comes knocking to see what happened with the shooting you would:

A. Arrange for the sheriff to speak to the parties involved right away.

B. Tell the sheriff to go away.

I could go on about the strange choices that were made, and the conflicting accounts. But the bottom line here is that something stinks.
