Hard to say.

However, I would presume they would want a president who would be more liberal-minded in his administration of the university, mot necessarily someone who is liberal in the political sense ala the Democrats.

If the "invisible" Republican forces are true to their colours, they would most probably want to have a Republican to replace Sumners.
