I will agree with you that George is an entertainer, but he is very left in his ideas. I watch the CBC a lot when I'm not watching the Knowledge network. And I, as you well know, am somewhat to the right. Did someone say Genghis Khan?

That's not entirely true fresc... We had a great US PBS station low on the dial (17 I think it was and we have just a notch up from the most basic cable, kinda Flinstonian)... Then we got two cultural stations Omni 1 and Omni 2... instead of one.. and the PBS got bumped into the stratosphere of basic cable service... off the dial of older converters...

OMNI 1 and OMNI II are really full of CRAP.. reruns of US sitcoms (some of which are very good but certainly not Canadian 'culture' and often dealing with themes innapropriate for the younger set at the supper hour time slots..., a plethora of 1-900-info-mercials for date challenged males.. if you get my drift... elimimadate and such crap and a few 'cultural' shows... We have enough CRAP in our own back yard... I wish those two were classed as specialty stations so I would not need to surf through their CRAP... What a friggin' joke they are as 'cultural' tv.. guess you need to pay the bills LOL... They appeared on Shelia's watch... too bad they didn't disappear with her.....sigh.. the US PBS station I lost was good. Being American doesn't make it bad... These cultural stations are full of homegrown tripe..
