Did the peace hold in iraq today after their 4pm curfew expired? I think they were indoors for 18 hours and missed friday sabbath praying at the mosques which would have triggered another bad day. So it looks like the govt got that right. By the way, i do root for success of this govt. The odds are just longer than before imo.

I think we have an iran led group here that is telegraphing its next move to the West if we go ahead with sanctions. Iran and VZ will cut production and the SA oilfields will be threatened. Who knows if even Nigerians who are attacking oil are involved as well. In any case if this did happen, oil would run to $100 and our economy would stall. We cant give in to this type of blackmail but i dont know how we react with our forces being tied up in iraq.
