"A commonality running through most of the neocons, they are less concerned with the common good than the rest of us."

That is putting it delicately.

I just responded to a post over at the GW Bush thread re. this very issue. When someone posted that their were 100,000 mobile homes just sitting in Arkansas doing nothing, one of the neocons responded by saying that maybe if the Katrina displaced cleaned up NO, they would get a mobile home faster. Can you imagine someone with so little compassion? That he would have the balls to publish such a post on a public forum?

I mentioned on this thread that Oprah Winfrey has joined forces with Habitat for humanity to build new houses in Houston and other places for the displaced Katrina victims.......she has committed $10 million of her own money. One thing she made real clear when introducing each family is that both parents were hard working people and lost decent jobs. And I don't blame her for emphasizing that point......if she hadn't, people like the guy above would simply call it a liberal giveaway to the shiftless and unworthy.

"What they don't realize is that's how revolutions start."

That is the scary part. Revolutions tend to be "interesting", in the sense of the Chinese curse. And they often take on a life of their own and exceed the excesses that gave them birth. But we are rapidly running out of choices.

Yes. People are very frustrated.
