Custom clothing really doesn't support the kind of industrial base that can employ a decent number of people, not that I don't have some of my clothes hand tailored, but I'm not under the illusion that hand tailoring or custom footware is a way to solve the demise of our manufacturing base here in the US. We really need to buy from companies that still employ large workforces, and who employ their workforces here in the US (imo). Where we have a choice, and especially when the quality of the American made product is superior, as it often is (compared to Chinese goods)- I think it makes perfect sense to buy American, and to search out American made products.
