RR, Fantastic! You just wrote the introduction to The Book. Fascinating that your current protege came around after having a child. Nothing like taking responsibility for our newborn kids to alter our individual world views. We aren't debt free by 40 (that is indeed impressive) when considering mortgage debt, but we will be by 50. We all have choices to make re: stewardship of our money; living debt free is a choice most of us have the ability to make if we want it badly enough. Freedom indeed.
