i can still post in the clown free zone, so life can't be that bad! ;-) things are going well in many ways and not so well in others. i've found that this is pretty much the definition of life for everyone that isn't lying about it (or is in a bad situation where most of life just sucks). i'm mostly able to keep focused on the positive stuff, so it's all good. i'm currently working on open source, web based, database application development. it is fun and very challenging, but the sheer volume of data to process and apply is pretty staggering due to the mix of technologies that i have to deal with. working to manipulate xml files has been kicking my behind this past week, but i almost have it down. i hope to put together an application or three in my current consulting job and parlay it into a business venture. if that doesn't work, at least i'll have a medium sized enterprise database application set up at home - all on free (but favorably comparable to microsoft stuff) software. ;-) "honey, what is the yield on that...." -lol-
