What are you thinking? I can't imagine. Do YOU know?

I think I should have been more straightforward in my earlier responses. I apologize. So here goes.

I don't dispute the fact that the Russians were providing us with intelligence. I surmise that they were doing so since they have their own problem with Chechnya and secondly, they realize that this war against terrorism should be fought on a global level with the collaboration and co-operation of all countries.

But then after a year and a half after 9/11, Bush acted unilaterally to march into Iraq. He did not give the WMD investigation team, which by the way also consisted of Americans, sufficient time to investigate and locate WMDs. Until the time Bush ordered the troops in, we all know that the investigators had not found any WMDs. Bust Bush was adamant, treated the world leaders with scant respect by discarding anything and everything they said. Instead, he started introducing vague logic about US resolutions so and so etc. And then in spite of not having found any WMDs, Bush ordered the troops in.

So what did we get after Bush ordered the troops in? Nations such as Russia, France and Germany, nations who really matter in the war on terrorism by virtue of them providing intelligence, decided to play it cool and stopped co-operating with Bush while his troops went on a rampage in Iraq resulting in the loss of "numerous innocent lives."

IMHO, Bush squandered his opportunity to truly work with the world to put a chokehold on world terrorism. And the terrorists continue to hold sway. They cause trouble at will and Bush stands helpless and watches.

You think that Al Qaeda could have bombed that mosque with Saddam in power? Heck no. But it happened when Bush got in there.
