Goldwater would also disapprove of Bush-Cheney. Despite his hawkishness, Goldwater was a moderate and tolerant man. He did not like the religious right which make up much of Bush's current base, and considered them nuts.

How incredibly humorous that was. You and Ike. You think you know what Ike would think, and that he would think Bush isn't a conservative!? LOL. Even funnier is that while I continue to laugh at your plainly bogus characterization of YOURSELF as conservative, you choose to define me by saying I am "...no conservative" but rather, a "neocon." Have you noticed that "neocon" is by definition a conservative? LOL, you apparently missed that pesky fact. Ignorance is bliss, I reckon, for you can just rattle on carefree. Frankly, FWIW, I'm a child of the 60's and embrace much of the liberalism of the 60's. I cried when John Lennon left us, while neocons likely never shed a tear for John as they rebelled against the liberalism of the 60's & 70's instead, by definition. LOL...and you think Ike would what, er, embrace the liberalism of the 60's and never be a neocon like Bush? LOL. Glad you are so sure of yourself. Dan B.
