Jim, He upped the level of attack dog politics in the Clinton-Bush race.

Really? When I was growing up, I learned that it was Bush Sr. who brought the negativity to a new level. Remember all of those anti-Dukakis ads?

Clinton pretty much ran on one theme, "It's the economy, stupid!" Dodged allegations of marital infidelity with his smooth talking demeanor. Attack-dog politics? Didn't notice it, AFAIK.
