<So who in your universe should make the monetary system? I assume you want it to "work well".>

Excellent question and you hit my hottest button. Maybe not my hottest, but red hot. I suppose my children and personal well-being are hotter.

I have been ranting for years about exactly that. You could search SI to find them. Q currency cybercurrency, fiat, dilution, Mqurice etc should be some search words that should get you there.

Of course, the answer is that it is insane that We the Sheeple are fleeced by the US$ and the swarms of lesser government-run fiat currencies.

I have got a prototype currency nearly ready to rumble. The Q currency. Or maybe U would be a better symbol. The name doesn't matter much. I quite like "the Quid" which has some history to the word as a currency when it was made of gold. en.wikipedia.org Also, the core meaning of value: <Means "What" in Latin; in a deeper sense it refers to the core meaning of that something. >

I don't want to disclose my top-secret activities lest the marauding Americans send a Predator overhead with a Hellfire missile to reduce competition [that's typical government monopolistic behaviour].

Government fiat currencies are absurd entities, guaranteed to fizzle and die after being constantly devalued with holders being diluted day in, day out, subject to the whims of their ignorant electorates or dictators.

I will make the monetary system. <who in your universe should make the monetary system? > By 2020 the US$ and especially other state-run currencies will be defunct. It will be robust. As robust as the human desire to be alive, which has a 99% desire level with only 1% or so preferring to end their lives.

I'm sure you don't really want the full details, which I won't give you anyway, so suffice to say that you did NOT pick a good example of government usefulness.
