"A local branch of Al-Qaeda said yesterday it had carried out the raid on the complex at Abqaiq, in the east of Saudi Arabia, which processes 5m-7m barrels of oil a day — up to 8% of the world’s consumption."

A local branch of Al-Qaeda... now does anyone think something doesn't smell right here. For a long time now our media has made these statements on behalf of Al-Quaeda. How do the local branches get the statements out without being bombed?

Do they have a pre-arranged code word that verifies that they are in fact AQ? How can these reports be verified. No real intent to do so is apparent. Just pump the propaganda.

It seems that they are as hard to trace as those insightfull people who shorted airline stocks prior to 9/11. Is their phone untraceable, or is their ISP immune to American intelligence?

These sources are always quoted but never hunted. Never is a website referenced or any other info given. Quite convenient, and a permanent tool.
