Both palestinian arabs and Israelis are equally new to that small chunk of desert .....

How can that be when that small chunk of desert includes Jerusalem?

And you're telling us no one lived on the Meditteranean coast between Epypt and Beirut before WW2?

re: I am not about to right a wrong by giving up one of our current states

so how much time should pass before you would no longer be responsible? Is it a 1000 years or few hundred years or a hundred years.

Why don't you admit you are an Israeli and be done with it?

Brits announced their intentions before WWII and most of the land was uninhabited at the time. Both palestinian arabs and Israelis are equally new to that small chunk of desert.

It was? Tell that to the Arabs who lived there:

"The British census of 1922 counted 752,048 in the British Mandate of Palestine, comprising 589,177 Muslims, 83,790 Jews, 71,464 Christians (including Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and others) and 7,617 persons belonging to other groups (corresponding to 78% Muslim, 11% Jewish, and 9% Christian) (1922 census report). Bedouin were not counted, but a British study estimated their number at 70,860 in 1930 [6]."
