re: Arabs who moved to the region in 1850-1940 in the same way that Jews moved to the region in that time frame, correct? there were arabs living there before that time period as well but for majority that would a correct observation re: Americans are proof that diverse people can live together in relative peace and harmony America also a proof that it takes hundreds of years before this harmony is achieved. Fighting with indians that predates USA, extermination of the indians by American settlers, slavery followed by segregation. And after all there are still no race harmony in US. And US was never surrounded by superior hostile forces from all directions.
