Rumsfeld selected the troop levels. He originally wanted 40,000 troops. CENTCOM wanted 380,000 troops. They settled on the level that Franks wanted...250,000. But 100,000 of those never made it. Do you remember the chaos and looting after the fall of Baghdad? Probably not. How about the insurgency that runs amok? How about Paul Bremmer who said he needed more troops? Franks had it correct. And CENTCOM had it correct...Rumsfeld had it wrong. Logic is something that clearly evades you. Here we are coming up on three years....and the killing has increased. Normalcy is not going to be seen for years in Iraq. The Iraqi Army's only unit that was deemed ready to operate on it's own was degraded to level 2 this week, which means that no unit of the Iraqi army is deemed capable of operating independently of US troops. As for Frank's assessment of Dubai Ports, I respect his opinion, but I remain neutral on the deal. I neither support it or oppose it. But certainly security needs to be thought about. As for your crap about racism, If I remember correctly you advocated that all Arabs be wiped from the face of the earth. Certainly I have never seen you raise the spectre of anti Arab feelings being a bad thing before, when you have been immersed in the words of those that hang out on the rightwing boards here. Many were calling for all Arabs to be nuked. Such a sudden change of heart by you and your pals here! I can only see it as being dishonest and opportunistic. I have always advocated for fair and equal treatment of all peoples, regardless of race. What's more important is track record. The royal family was having a meeting with bin Laden recently and they are the owners of DP World. I recall you saying that Saddam met with bin Laden...and that was enough to suspect terrorism on his part. Why does the UAE royals get a pass for doing the same thing? Yes logic can be swept under foot in that brain of yours. Orca
