Its hard to explain someone else's view of the common good. Also there is the question if you are talking about what would be good or how it could or should be achieved. And finally "Republicans" is a pretty big group with many different opinions. Maybe if you could name one or two general areas where you want me to talk about the common good I could answer; or you could mention one or two relatively coherent subsets of the larger group "Republicans" and I could examine their views. Republicans (and Democrats for that matter) have two many different opinions. I'm not really willing to right a book unless I think I'll get paid for it... Tim
