No kidding. At this point in time, we should worry more about security than Arab feelings. We should take a "American-only" view of security for the foreseeable future. There are few other countries we can really trust. I'd lump the UK, Australia, and Israel in that category. The UAE would most definitely NOT fall in that category.

Well I see no reason to outsource American security to any country. But as to operating a port, explain how a Dubai-based company operating a port versus a British-based company operating a port affects the Coast Guard's and Customs' department's ability to ensure national security at the given port.

My understanding is that the US security actions would be the same, no matter who is the port operator - do you have a different understanding?
