Speak fer yerself, Laz. Now, now, I remember how long ago it was that I read that book. :-) No need to be defensive. Think of it was accummulated wisdom. "Tut is covered by paw marks now, isn't he? :-)" Those spots wore off long ago. No incriminating evidence? Lucky man! :-) If Schliemann was a lousy archeologist, wasn't he also one of the first? Were archeological methods developed by then, or did he just do the Indiana Jones method? Yes. Something like modern methods had been developedm by some archaeologists, but were not in universal use. And don't knock Indiana! That's Holly's favorite name for me when one of these trips comes up!
