all depends what you mean by sizable - the arab population of israel land was between 92,000 and 198,000, depending on a source, at the turn of the century. natural growth rate of arab population was estimated at 2.7%

in 1948 there were 2,000,000 arabs on the same land. Without immigration one would expect the numbers to be between 348,000 and 750,000 with an average slightly above 500,000.

current arab population of Israel is 1.35 million. Assuming same growth the population of the arabs without migration would be between 1.5 and 3.2 millions. Average would be 2.35 millions. 1 million would be displaced. Current estimates of those who claim the right of return is around 4 millions.
