”If you have the courage of your convictions why would you not be loyal to your tribe and beliefs.” Loyalty and commitment is at the center of the Universe for the human condition. This moves everything down a positive and constructive path. Betrayals move things in the opposite direction. To tribe and beliefs is the test. At the heart of every creed, binding each entity, is a beneficent regard for self and others. Each standard carried by a group represents essential consideration for the well being of self and others. Loyalty to the color of the standard, rather than the principles upon which it is founded is a false sense of devotion. It involves holding the color of the standard in greater esteem than the principle. For example, many of the people who are willing to kill or be killed for the sake of a religious doctrine that binds their group, lack a literate realization of the meaningfulness of that same doctrine. ”Group extremism involves loyalty to tribe, religion, race, national origin, extreme liberal chaos, extreme oppressive totalitarianism, etc.” It is the false sense of devotion to a heritage within a group that tends to corrupt one to the extreme. The cost is a principled identity of self and in fact violates loyalty to humanity, your own and that which is shared. ”When the locus of fidelity is to intelligent and principled communion with others for the sake of common humanity, the likelihood of creating chasms between groups is reduced; just as it is widened by expressions of devotion to less deserving tenets.” ”Your hope should be with God.” Indeed, and there are many books, doctrines, preachers and such that offer guidance along a beneficent and hopeful path… mostly gathering dust on a shelf. However, our only experience with God in this life is abstract… unless you are a worshipper of stone. The modern equivalency of stone worship is the worship of unrealized words in bound text, and the slaughter of those who threaten your idols. Therefore …“Be ye the living word.” Be devoted to your heart of hearts, founded upon the commonality of creed to intelligent and principled communion with others for the sake of common humanity, and to your like minded bros and sis’s regardless of the color of their standard. The autonomy of one bolsters the goodness of all. The oppression of one brings the destruction of all who tolerate its existence.
