You want an Arab country to own our ports? And you claim that Bush is "tough on terror"? Ha! This proves he isn't and it proves you will agree with anything Bush does even if it jeopardizes our national security.

Now sit back and open your mind. Bush said "any country harboring terrorists is as bad as the terrorists". UAE has harbored terrorists, and as recenbtly as 2004 Al Qaida money has been flowing through its banks. Even the friendliest Arab nation still has a population at least 75% against the US and 90% against Israel. That's just a fact. And Bushies have been lying saying all port security would be handled by US officials. Not true. Much of the security (starting in Dubai) is handled by the Arab company. And they would get our security specs.

Also remember, Dubai may be a semi-friend now, but a few years from now everything could change. The level of hatred vs. the US in the Arab world has never been higher and Bush keeps talking about "democray". Democracy would mean every Arab country would elect an anti-American government. So beware.

Also beware that Bush may be pushing this deal for very selfish reasons, something to do with The Carlyle Group which he and his father have been part of, and which gets a lot of its cash from Dubai.

If they have a nuclear bomb in a container and its gets to our port its too late to do anything about it, it doesn't matter who runs the port. It never has to be unloaded off the ship to do a lot of damage.
