Vietnam was the same. And it turned out to be an awful waste and hopeless boondoggle costing mountains of lives and treasure. The rush to war in 2002-2003 was sick, especially since almost all the reasons they gave us for needing to do it were total crapola. After 9-11, the country's disbelief was suspended and Bushies took full advantage. Most Americans blindly trusted Bush-Cheney, and what a huge mistake that turned out to be. Never again trust those guys on any level.
