<People like to adopt babies. Not abused 8-year olds. By the time the state steps in and removes kids from abusive parents, the kids are often past the point of making nice adoption material. So what to do?> The state is useless as a father. Same as the state is useless at everything. What to do is stop paying for welfare babies who are nothing but a meal ticket for some losers having control of the poor thing, with the woman's sole qualification being to spread her legs and the male's an ability to ejaculate, not to mention the criminals who subsequently move in with the woman when the first ejaculator moves on, or the woman does. Cut the money supply and the tortured baby supply will dry up. Of course people don't want to adopt tormented 8 year olds who are hard-wired for revenge [not that they understand that or think of it like that - they are angry, rejected, anti-social and vicious]. Stop funding the cruelty. It's understandable that the victims of the cruelty grow up to pay back. There is nothing left to do by the time they are adults than cage them. In a low birth-rate country like NZ, there are swarms of potential adoptive parents. Mqurice
