Did you notice that fear of sectarian violence has sunnis and shiaas talking again about sunni participation in the new govt. Shiaas may give them more authority but also want US out via Timetable. Apparently they are reading my posts. No one else does so thats cool with me. US is a magnet for all the hatred and feelings of inadequacy now in iraq. I would suggest the shiaa give them what they want with a quid pro quo of receiving names and addresses of zarquawis gangs. If sunnis dont want to be ethnically cleansed by shiaa militias, plus a bigger role in iraqi future, they need to turn those folks over to us or to the shiaa--who cares at this point--dead is dead and zaquawi dead has a nice ring to it.

PS and lets have that timetable already.

Hamas made some noise this weekend about recognizing israels right to exist, just not the post-67 borders. Immediatley they retracted but for me its a first sign. I agree with israeli FM who said abbas is irrelevent. He is but Hamas isnt and the Israelis know this even if they cant talk to them just yet. All of this might have to wait until kadima beats likud.

<As I pointed out, there are a fair number of countries with different governments which I could live under. There are lots of currencies I can own, and easily trade. Thats also competition. Lack of competition is when you only have one. I don't see that at all.>

Oh, I see, competition like Henry Ford described competition. Any colour as long as it's black.

But you are quite right that the US$ is not a monopoly and anyone is free to compete. I haven't suggested that. In fact, for years, it has been my plan to do just that. Just today, I have ranted again on said idea: Message 22209247
