Gottfried, I know, I saw that as well. It sounds like a total disconnect from reality. We have had a long dry spell for Bookings - all of 2005 was at quite a low level. A good chart to show that situation is Bookings to chip equipment sales.

This shows that Bookings for 2005 were about 30 percent lower than 2004, yet chip sales have been climbing steadily and are to continue climbing this year at a greater rate than in 05.

Like you say - what planet are they on? The damage has been done, however, the general market is doing quite well today, but the semi, semi-equips are lagging.

It is a recurring problem with the analyst houses that seems to have no solution. They say what they want to say, when they want to say it, to influence market sector direction, and even though their output is completely wrong, they face no consequences for their output.
