National security is a big issue for the Nov. 2006 elections. And the Democrats have succeeded in exposing Bush's hollowness in that area. Schumer came out yesterday saying the 45 day review issue is the same thing packaged differently since the review is being done by the same folks who approved of it initially and that the review is being done in secret. When Americans hear this to be a hogwash, it is going to backfire on Bush. The UAE and the Pakistan govt. is not to be trusted. One is Arab and one is not. Both of them have been declared as allies by Bush. But both of them have Al Qaeda sympathizers in the Govt. Sympathizers who will have access to sensitive data and hence vulnerable to be passed onto Al Qaeda. Al Jazeera, the most anti US TV network that Bush once considered bombing is housed right in the UAE. Consider that.
