Anti-Americanism overseas is almost always painted with the same negative brush by the MSLM. They highlight the isolated incidences and say nothing about the positive ones. If you were to gauge the way people feel about America based on a few socialist protestors or Moveon.org your view would be quite jaded.

How many Americans have seen a German ceremony honoring the sacrifices Americans made during WW2? One practically takes place every month somewhere in Germany. The same is true in many other places in Europe, but Americans rarely see it.

I remember how astonished some people were in Europe when I predicted Bush would win re-election. They just couldn't imagine it was possible. One of the main reasons is our MSLM is routinely beamed around the world and the same message is echoed in their own papers and on television. They don't see FOXNEWS. They basically get one view. It's the BBC/PBS centered jaundiced cynical view of the world they see. I'll label it "Ivycynicalguilt".

If something bad happens in the world it must be America's fault led by that cowboy George Bush. After wall, we consume 40% of the worlds resources and have all that stolen wealth blah, blah, blah....

I haven't visited Korea in many years, but I suspect the same sort of thing exists there. In other words, don't view young Koreans based on a few media reports.

It is such a complex thing that no solution seems adequate. I think it would be easier to find solutions if people were willing to work together instead of constantly carping. Or worse, constantly killing.

Dogs are better than people.
