re: Huh? You quoted Bernadotte......he was killed well before 1948.

He was killed on September 17, 1948 - try a little googling

re: As for Palestinians not having any sense of nationalism, what nonsense. The Palestinians fought the Zionists from the 1920s right up to Israel's independence.

1) should they demand that Jordan would give them back palestine as well?
2) Bernadotte wrote, not me

re: Palestinian property during the 1948 war.

palestinians voluntarily abandon their property when Egypt told them to get out of the way. No one forced them to leave....

re: What's good for the goose is good for the gander

you should not compare apples with oranges :-))

No, Bernadotte was killed in 1948.
He was the UN envoy to Israel and carried in the UN peace plan.
Neither the Arabs, not the Israelis liked it - the true thermometer of an unbiased proposal - and this rejected it.

The local Jews did it in their usual way later applied to other "traitors" of their own killed him, the UN messenger.

Later those guy went on to become Prime Ministers of Israel (Shamir, Begin) and even Nobel Peace winners (Begin, when he stole 50% of Sadat's reward).
Great guys for sure.
