Iran's constitutional allocation of power to the Mullahs precludes them from being a good model IMO. Lebanon is the more interesting possibility in the ME. They've made progress since getting rid of US/Israeli meddling, and now I'd like to see what happens since Syria has been shown the door as well. Don't look at the near term gyrations, there is always over/under shooting, but lets see what a decade brings. Same is true in Iraq, but we must not sit around as targets for a decade. That is truly idiotic.
