The looters thing i knew intuitively from my NY experiences but i was in denial. Rummy said it was blowing off steam like Rodney King riots in LA were OK as well. Tell it to Mr. Denny. Back to NY. When Rudy took over first thing he did was to arrest the squeegy guys. In case you dont know they would spit on your windshield and clean the glass and you have them money for fear of what they might do. Same with the homeless sleeping and relieving themselves everywhere and anywhere. City took on a new tone after that and crime is so low now, it is hard to remember the bad old day. Two years ago we were in SF and stayed at one of the top hotels. A block away were the homeless. Liberal SFers havent learnded the lesson yet. Mike
