re: Was that after the Palestinians made an assassination attempt on the King for holding peace talks with Israel?

I believe that was after "black september", you will never never get straight, will you? King Jordan negotiated a peace with Israel after Israel, on US request, saved Jordan from Syrian armies.

Even if the attempt on the king would be a reason for killing 10s of thousand, mostly civilians, palestinians then all of the terrorist attacks on Israel would surely give Israel a better reason than what Jordanians had.

re: 3-5K. Are you exaggerating again?

what? you can not even read?

from your link:

"The number of casualties in what resembled a civil war is estimated at tens of thousands, and both sides were involved in intentional killing of civilians. It was a turning point for Jordanian identity, as the kingdom embarked on the program of "Jordanization" of the society."

Israel would be held responsible for intentional killing of a single civlian - those who attack are not considered civilians
