I agree with Hartmann. Bush is in a particularly miserable spot on the Arab ports management controversy. This is really about multinational corporations who basically own the Bush White House. Why do they own it? Because they provided the money to put him there. Real campaign finance reform is the only way citizens will ever get their government back. Why should any entity besides registered voters be allowed to contribute to candidates and campaigns? Next, we'll have Wal Mart writing medicare and medicaid law......
In the mean time, even the no-nothing right wingers are bellowing loudly about letting Ay-Rabs take over our port security. Bush stepped in it, on this one.
