I don't believe that EITHER Party is particularly responsive to the needs of the American public! "I know, you likely hope for an independent party but that just aint gonna happen, at least not till there is a Revolution." I agree. The Republi-crats (with the help of at least two Supreme Court rulings) have rigged the game to keep third Parties from having a chance to emerge. We had TONS of new Paries emerge in the 19th. century, and old ones morph into new ones... but the game has been rigged against that for a very long time now and, IMO, that has accelerated the decline of our Democracy. It's like occulsion of the arteries... too much crap has built up and it prevents America from being the dynamic, resourceful nation that our founders hoped whe could be. (Of course, may of them *predicted* this sad state of affairs.) "Too often you fault every republican in sight rather then attempt to support them in what you believe." Eh???????? (I complain about what I disagree with coming from THOSE IN POWER... regardless of who they are. What do YOU do?) "I think President bush has done an EXCELLENT job in increasing the REVENUE of this country," (I would not say that... one-year only temporary tax breaks [like the corporate tax break of '05], and budget flim-flam and smoke and mirrors designed to hide the true impact of proposed changes [by keeping them out of the budget horizons] can HARDLY be called 'excellent' long term strategy. at best they are partially successful short-term manoeverings... often more useful politically then economically.) "the fault is in the expense side of the ledger." True enough. That is one of the largest faults (along with the failure of tax reform, I believe). "Yet, I believe you would attack the very things that made the Revenue grow tremendously" I would hardly call stealing from the future, or one year-only gimmicks 'tremendously successful'... :)
