The Marine murders by bombing in Lebanon happened on Reagan's watch due to one of his nation building initiatives. I think the root of our problems is the fact that we are so damn busy sticking our noses into other people's business that we are creating new enemies all the time. I remember a time before arab terrorism was a domestic security concern, that also happens to be before we started stationing troops in the Middle Eastern arab countries and killing arabs. See a connection? A more enlightened path would be to kick our oil habit and withdraw from the Middle East. I'm sick of trying to solve everyone's problems when we can't even solve our own problems at home. Withdrawing would lessen our chances of terrorist attack significantly and return the situation to pre 1990 conditions.
