Normally, you will not in society, either.


Many rules of society have no legal penalties. We aren't talking about those rules.

I don't think moral standards are set by votes of citizens or representatives.

But if you act immorally (illegally from the perspective of your fellow citizens whom feel morally obligated to coexist in lawful obedience in return for the wonderful benefits they enjoy in having their liberty rights defended)

You begging the question. We are debating the issue of whether illegal acts are automatically immoral.
