INTC Intel estimate cut details (20.60 ) -Update-

As mentioned at 7:05, Bear Stearns says their checks indicate Intel's 1Q06 is tracking below guidance of $9.4 bln (down 8% QoQ) due to loss of share to AMD, slowing PC growth and Dell's loss of share. Their checks indicate Intel's inventory build has been exacerbated by both Intel and its largest customer, Dell, losing market share. As a result, they believe Intel could have almost $800.0 mln of excess inventory in 1Q06, which adds risk to their gross margin estimates. Firm cuts their C06 EPS estimate (without options expense) to $1.28, vs $1.41 consensus, cuts their rev estimate to $39.1 bln from $39.5 bln, vs $41.1 bln consensus. Firm also cuts their FY07 ests.
