What I can’t believe, is that a 12 member treasury panel voted unanimously for this plan and apparently none of them had any inkling it would bother anybody and they put our country in a bad situation either way. You are exactly right! Exactly. This deal may be fine, but the way it was handled was so CLUMSY. Why do we have to have an administration that has such a tin ear on everything? Haven't they learned anything in the past five years? Now we have this battle pitting almost everyone against the WH, and you can bet congressional republicans are mad as heck over being forced to either toe the line and look like idiots, or question the deal and have an internal battle within the party. But if they don't at least question it....the public and the dems will rip them apart! Why is Bush so darn thick!!
