I'll bet even those 34% have grave doubts now too. I can feel the entire Bush-supporting GOP waking up and wondering "what were we thinking?". But now it's too late for them. They will be held accountable for their sins, if not by the courts, then at the ballot boxes in November. I also get the feeling that Bush would be secretly relieved to be impeached and get to go home to an early retirement. Maybe even back to drinking. So long as he has his checks from Carlyle Group waiting for him so it won't all be a waste. But many of these top Bushies deserve prison and may get it.
