Where would people go? What private organization is going to step in and do the work? > People [the criminal dissolute murderers] would have to have jobs. They'd get disciplined for showing up late for work, drunk and drugged. They'd be fired. They'd get hungry. They'd end up begging at the Salvation Army or a relative would let them have a bunk provided they behaved. Social discipline used to be very, very powerful. Now, nearly all power is assumed by the state and people have been taught to mind their own business, or else. Citizens are increasingly not permitted to do anything without some bureaucrat's expensive approval. Cut off the money supply and women will stop having babies as a "job". They will have to think about how they will provide. Traditionally, the male was told at a marriage ceremony "Okay mate, you are it. So any babies and this woman are going to be your responsibility. Got it? Notice all the witnesses here and see the shotgun hanging on the wall. This isn't a brothel. This is for real." Before a woman invites a guy to do his thing, she had better have things figured out. Or she is NOT going to be happy. Her family are going to have to back her, or the bloke, or an adoptive family will take over if she is unable to do the job. Babies are a meal ticket. It's a better income to pop a couple of sprogs and keep having "fun" with drug-soaked violent drunks than to work for less than minimum wage, which of course should also be dropped. Setting a minimum wage is absurd. It stops people getting jobs. If people don't pay enough, people won't work for them. Simple. Too many women are pathetic. Clueless insults to the vital job of motherhood. A child-bearing woman's primary job is to find a decent male who will back her up and the babies. If she can't find one, she should forget about having children because taxpayers aren't going to fund her and evil welfarist thugs moving in with her and torturing the children. Of course insane people will still kill children rarely, like the Texas mother who drowned her children. That wasn't a welfare-produced horror. I'm talking about stopping the taxpayer-funded disaster in infancy and childhood that is going on in NZ now. The private organisations that would step in would be people who would adopt children, or their families would help, the grand-parents, uncles, aunts, or strangers. There are various organisations too which would help. There are lots of people who like to help other people and they would not be sidelined by the uncaring state system. Then there's contraception and abortion. Plus the age-old "Keep legs together". No marriage, no sex. Personal responsibility is a weird concept to some, but it's a good one. Responsibility means consequences from bad choices. Very unpleasant consequences. Such as getting hungry, wet and cold. Nowhere near as bad as child torture and murder though. Not as bad as the lives of thousands of children every day. Mqurice
