Some Americans forget that their country stops at the border. Like that kid who got caned down in Indonesia, remember that?

LOL!!!!! Yeah. I believe it. There are crazy gringos who go down there who think they are still in the US.

3 of 4 the 4 times I have NO IDEA what I supposedly did. Cop pulls you over, says you have committed an infraccione and wants money to pay the fine. You don't pay, he calls for other cops, they pull you out of the car and you're on your way to jail. Gonna take A LOT more to get out of there.

4th time, I made a left on a GREEN left turn signal. Iver on the corner was a sign with the symbol for "No left" on it. It was half hidden behind bushes. There was a cop sitting there. He pulls me over, says the "infraccione" will cost $40 US. I give him $40 US and I'm on my way. No muss, no fuss, no paperwork.

Now in the US, I would have taken a picture of the situation there and gone to court and almost certainly won. Down there, it will just cost you yet MORE MONEY to fight. The abogados (lawyers) know how to steal too.
