That is a tragedy indeed. And a funny -- shortcutlass. It reminded me of that old Chuck Connors TV show called "Branded." He played a cavalry officer who was drummed out of the service unjustly, in the process having his cavalry sabre snapped in half by his commanding officer. He picked it up and put a new point on the shorter weapon, and carried it through the entire series. imdb.com I was ASTOUNDED at Connors' filmography, which is much more extensive than I ever imagined.
